No poured concrete
Because this is a free standing, braced structure it does not need the support of large concrete foundations. This is better for the environment, less expensive to install, and causes far less disruption and mess during installation.
Furthermore, if you wish to remove the swing 50 years down the line, it can simply be pulled from the ground, with no need for plant equipment to dig out any large lumps of concrete.
We are always looking to minimise the use of concrete, and on our Snake Swing we have done away with it entirely.
